Description
This shelf-stable zabaglione in a jar from Alberto Marchetti per Olivieri 1882 in Italy was an incredible find by our Italian imports buyer. What is zabaglione? Zabaglione is a dessert made by whipping together egg yolks, sugar, and Marsala wine. The result is an airy custard that's great for pairing with fresh fruit, biscotti, ice cream, and more.
Zabà is made from all Italian ingredients using a recipe from Langa: fresh, free-range eggs, sugar from Italia Zuccheri, and Marsala wine from Sicily.
This jarred dessert can be enjoyed three different ways: room temperature by the spoonful or added to whipped cream or a gelato base, frozen (for 3 hours) by the spoonful or with fresh fruit, or hot with cookies, cake, or as a beverage. To heat, remove the cap and warm in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
Ingredients: sugar, Marsala wine (30%) (contains sulfites), fresh barn egg yok, water, rice starch, lactic acid to acidify. CONTAINS: EGG. 4% alcohol by volume.
Shake before opening. Store in a cool and dry place away from light. Once opened, store in the refrigerator and consume within 5 days.
