These delicious Contadini sauces are made only from field-grown tomatoes picked in July and August and processed a few hours after harvest. They adopt a  slow and gentle processing method, with lower yield but excellent results: tomato colour remains crisp and bright, the flavor is the one you always found in grandmas sauces, it is full-bodied, compact and thick. They do not add salt, just a leaf of fresh basil. La Rustica is an “evergreen”, a true tomato sauce with defined and full-bodied flavour for perfect adherence to pasta.
