Description
Pandolce is a traditional Genovese creation based on panettone, but in a much more durable format. This is the bread that sailors would take with them on their voyages long lasting, easy to transport and densely packed with flavor.
This is a dense (and somewhat dry) cake - it is fantastically flavorful, and kind of akin to a dense and sweet Irish soda bread. Best served alongside coffee, tea or after dinner with a sweet wine.
