Pasticceria Perbellini has been baking the most amazing panettone in Bovolone, Italy since the 19th century! We found them on a trip to Italy in 2001 and were the first company to import their products into the United States. This Offella holds a special place in our hearts as a unique and delicious recipe created by Sig. Perbellini himself. In 1891, Giovanni Battista Perbellini modified a Veronese recipe for traditional Nadalin by enriching the dough with molten butter and topping it with caramelized walnuts. The Offella d'Oro was born.
Moist and soft, with a fluffy texture inside, and a crunchy nut exterior, this is the pinnacle of artisanal panettone. Serve after dinner with soft torrone (nougat), roasted nuts, dried fruits and sweet dessert wine. Or for a memorable holiday breakfast, enjoy this panettone gently toasted and smeared with mascarpone or salted butter.
INGREDIENTS: Soft wheat flour type "0," sugar, butter (milk), eggs, hand-picked sweet almonds, cocoa butter, milk, salt, natural yeast, emulsifier (mono-diglycerides of fatty acids).
May contain traces of DRY AND SUGAR FRUITS, SOY, SESAME SEEDS, PEANUTS and MUSTARD.
