Piantagioni's approach is a close collaboration with a generation of growers who focus on quality, rather than quantity, while also researching and rediscovering varieties that have been undervalued and often have disappeared from the market.

This coffee blend comes from two sources: the San Luis plantation on the Pacific slope of the Balsamo Cordillera in El Salvador and the Raigode plantation in the Indian state of Karnataka where the coffee is grown alongside pepper plants and cardamom at an altitude of more than 2000 feet above sea level.  This coffee has a intense aroma of malt and chocolate with a full-bodied flavor, moderate acidity and a pleasant lingering finish.

The labels on each bag of Piantagioni coffee are designed to give you information relevant to the origin of the coffee as well as an indication of its flavor profile.  This bag has a red label which indicates a coffee that is intense, earthy, full-bodied, and creamy - the perfect bean for espresso.
